This week, Waddell Landscapes had the pleasure of designing and building a beautiful garden for a client in Armadale. Sometimes it can prove somewhat challenging to work towards the right ideas and vision for a landscaping project. However, for this particular project, we were granted full creative freedom, and so we relished the opportunity to have our ideas trusted so unconditionally, and set off to build the best garden landscape design Armadale had ever seen.
The team got work right away! We decided to incorporate the crisp aesthetic of the floating concrete benches, which has proved time and time again to be a favourite feature. Since the Olive tree is one of the main features, we had to devise a plan to make sure that nothing else would obstruct its view, especially at night.
As a result, we worked towards consistent shades of bluestone, with a grey coloured coffee table. We felt this colour-scheme complemented the stunning Dichondra ground cover reasonably well. And here’s the best part: the contrasting couch under the Olive tree is built to last outdoors in the Australian climate. That means the client can stay reasonably stress-free with regards to any material being spoilt in the rain.
The feature lights hanging from a high pergola add a contemporary feel to the courtyard that creates a beautiful, picturesque look at night. Additionally, once the Virginian creeper has had a season or two of growth, spending time in this amazing courtyard will be even more irresistible!
The Waddell Landscapes team was so proud to be able to repay the trust that was placed in them, and deliver this functional, balanced, inviting, and social Melbourne courtyard garden. As you can see from the before and after images, this courtyard has gone through one successful transformation!
